ALFA
Exterior Emulsion


ALFA is a water-based exterior emulsion paint that gives a smooth finish. It is contains a water resistant resin that gives it durability. It is an ideal replacement for cement paint as it is longer lasting, prevents growth of fungus and alga and also does not require curing with water.

PROPERTIES
ALFA is composed of a unique resin and light fast pigments. It has the following advantages:
» gives a smooth finish, thereby lowering dirt pick up
» imparts resistance to surface against fungal, algal and mould growth
» has excellent adhesion to substrate
» has very good covering capacity
» does not require curing with water
» appears better for longer compared to cement paint

RECOMMENDED USES
ALFA can be used for interior and exterior applications. After the application of a suitable primer, it can be used on a wide variety of surfaces – plaster, stucco, brick work, stone, concrete etc.

SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface to be painted should be clean, dry and free from dirt and grease. The surface should be free from efflorescence, fungus and algae growth. The surface should be primed with a water-thinnable primer or with a diluted coat of ALFA.

APPLICATION
Can be applied by brushing, rolling or spraying. For priming dilute 1 litre of ALFA with 1 litre of clean water. For finishing coats, thin 1 litre of paint with 700 ml of water and then start application. The second coat should be applied after 2 hours of drying.

COVERING CAPACITY
This will depend upon the method of application and nature of the substrate. ALFA covers 10-12 sq. meters per litre when brushed with one coat and 5-6 sq. meters per litre when brushed with two coats. coats.

ALFA is available in 20 litres, 4 litres and 1 litre packing.
